W. Robert "Bob" Myers Lights a Gallery

Framed artwork illuminated by gallery lighting in a home interior

W. Robert "Bob" Myers not only lights a gallery, he lives in it. Over the past four years, DDG designer Cece DuBois has guided the selection of furnishings and finishes in Bob's home on Walnut Grove. Recently, Bob curated a collection of artwork, and has designed a lighting system that beautifully showcases each piece as if it were in a gallery.

And, in fact, it is. Bob has turned the public rooms of his home into a boutique art gallery, one that would rival any. "It's so exciting to design a lighting project for myself," Bob said. We caught up with him on a buying trip at the design showrooms in the Dallas Trade Center.

But of course, the lighting he designed for his home gallery is much more than "for himself." Bob has a network of artist friends, and his grown daughter Kristen is a respected gallery artist. So Bob's access to fine art is bountiful, and he loves to show it in its best light, making it available to collectors and browsers alike.

We'll soon be posting a video of the initial, "unofficial" tour. More, and even better, to come. And we can't wait to see it.
